Your twice-weekly writing membership designed to keep you accountable, consistent, and producing fresh pages. Led by author Jacqui Castle, The Write Routine gives you structured writing sessions, inspiring prompts, and a supportive community so you can finally make steady progress on your projects.
Groups are facilitated by author and creative writing instructor, Jacqui Castle. Jacqui is the author of The Seclusion and The Chasm and has taught creative writing for five years for various writing organizations, including UNCA's Great Smokies Writing Program, Redbud Writing Project, and Story Parlor. She is passionate about creating environments where writers can support and inspire each other to bring their ideas to fruition. If you have any questions about the The Write Routine membership, contact JacquiCastle@gmail.com
The Write Routine meets twice a week, giving you consistent, dedicated time to focus on your craft. Each class is built around four 20-minute writing sprints, with cameras and mics off so you can dive deep into your work. After each sprint, we regroup briefly to check in, reflect, and reset before the next round. These midday sessions are designed to fit right into your lunchtime routine, helping you carve out meaningful writing time without waiting for nights or weekends.
Every session, author Jacqui Castle provides fresh, optional prompts designed to help you generate new writing. These may include images, words, music, or other creative sparks. You’re always welcome to use the prompts or simply keep moving forward on your own projects — the goal is forward momentum, not perfection.
The Write Routine is not a critique-heavy workshop. Instead, it’s a space to produce fresh pages and build accountability. Between sessions, members can share progress and encouragement in a private online space curated by Jacqui. It’s a community built for writers who want consistency, not isolation.
At the end of each month, members are invited to participate in a celebratory reading. This is an opportunity to share new work, mark your progress, and cheer on fellow writers in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
