Direct ordering
If your book is published by an established publisher, and available through Ingram, and we decide to carry it, it will be purchased directly from the distributor. In this case, please send us an email at info@litlocalbooks.com notifying us of your book's publication.
Consignment
If your book is self-published or not easily accessible through our regular channels, we may offer you the opportunity to sell it on a consignment basis. This means that the book remains your property until it is sold. If you would like us to consider stocking your book on consignment, please follow our guidelines:
- To submit your book, please email info@litlocalbooks and include your contact information, book title, and ISBN, as well as any publicity plans, target audience, and connections to the local literary community. You will be contacted if Lit Local determines your book is a good fit.
- For each accepted submission, we will need you to sign a Consignment Agreement form and coordinate a time to deliver your books.
- Our standard consignment terms are as follows: Lit Local will receive a 30% discount, meaning you will receive 70% of the sales. We will work together to set a retail price that everyone is happy with. We will keep consigned books in stock for a minimum of 90 days. Payment is made for sales each month via Venmo or Paypal within ten days of the month's end.
